More than a flower school, a living creative space.
Pistil & Prism was born from a single belief: everyone can arrange flowers that tell a story.
Creativity blossoms where instruction meets freedom
In our open, light-filled studio on St Georges Terrace, we celebrate the haphazard elegance of local flora. Every workshop starts with a conversation — about your inspiration, your space, your preferred palette — then we twist, sip and rework until the arrangement feels unmistakably yours.
Whether you're a complete beginner wanting to make a first centerpiece, or a wedding florist craving technical depth, you'll find an intimate setting with no more than eight participants per class, ensuring every step is guided.
We don't grow flowers; we teach you how to listen to them.
A journey rooted in passion
A tiny pop‑up in Fremantle
We started selling hand‑wrapped bouquets at a local weekend market, using buckets of wildflower stems and a 4‑metre table.
Moving to the city heart
After two years of market favourite, we opened our first studio on Hay Street with three workbenches and an ex‑deli fridge.
Foam‑free certification
We proudly eliminated all floral foam and introduced ‘plastic‑free Fridays’, using natural branch frames and reusable mechanics.
A new home at St Georges Terrace
With panoramic views over the Swan River, our current studio hosts more than 15 workshops per month and an annual floral festival.
What guides our work
Sustainable by Design
We compost leftover stems, use beeswax wraps and never buy imported plastic‑covered bunches.
Curated Connection
We handpick every stem from local markets while they're still in bud, ensuring long vase life and lower transport footprint.
Creative Rigour
Our instructors are working florists with fine‑art training — they blend technique with emotional storytelling.
